How much does the Jug Tavern Festival cost to attend?

As always, admission into the festival is free. Cost is associated with tournaments, vendors and other activities.

Where is Jug Tavern Festival?

The Jug Tavern Festival is located in downtown Winder, Georgia about halfway between Athens and Atlanta off I-85 and Highway 316. All festivities take place at Jug Tavern Park, 113 East Athens Street.

Where do I park?

Parking is available in the following locations:

  • Midland Avenue Parking Lot (adjacent to Midland Station at the corner of Georgia Avenue and Midland Avenue)

  • Behind the Winder Cultural Arts Theater and Winder Customer Center (entrance on Jackson Street)

  • Gazebo Parking Lot (at the corner of North Broad Street and Candler Street)

  • Old Granite Hotel Parking Lot (at the corner of North Broad and West Athens Street)

  • West Candler Street Parking Lot (at the corner of West Candler Street and Woodlawn Street)

  • Porter Street Parking Lot (at the old train depot / Barrow County Chamber of Commerce)

HANDICAP PARKING will be available near the Winder Community Center (entrance and signs posted on Jackson Street). Please have the appropriate signage for this parking designation.

Are coolers allowed?

Although not encouraged, coolers that carry non-alcoholic beverages are allowed into the festival.

 

Alcoholic beverages are prohibited from being brought onto festival grounds. Any cooler brought onto festival grounds is subjected to being searched by a member of the festival staff or police security.

 

Adult beverages are only to be purchased from a permitted alcohol vendor at the Jug Tavern Festival during approved hours.

Are dogs allowed?

We do not encourage bringing pets to the festival because of the large crowd of people. However, if you do decide to bring your pet, please keep them on a short leash and understand you are responsible for your pet and his/her behavior. You are also responsible for cleaning any mess your pet leaves behind.
